Why you love the sport of pentathlon?

It is very challenging with great variety.

When you got involved in pentathlon and why?

I started pentathlon through Pony Club, tetrathlon.

How often do you train (per week or month)?

I train 40 plus hours a week.

Of the five sports of pentathlon (fencing, swimming, equestrian, shooting and running), which do you consider your best?

My best event is the swim and close second is the run.

What are your hobbies?

I don’t really have any. This sport is my hobby. But any free time I like good R&R after training.

Do you participate in other sports?

Recreational flag football.

Are there any other athletes in your family?

Uhmm maybe my sister Mathea?

Education?

Currently pursuing an undergrad at the University of Ottawa in the Social Sciences.

What career would you like to pursue or are you currently pursuing?

Military or law enforcement.

Future goals (in sport & or work)?

In pentathlon: To compete at the highest level of competition.

What is the greatest challenge you have faced?

Returning to full time training in Modern Pentathlon after several years off.

In the moments when I doubt that I want to continue, how do I motivate myself?

I look to the great people of all sports for inspiration.

How has being an athlete benefited you (positive effects in your life that you would not have had otherwise)?

Apart from the obvious health benefits, meeting people from other backgrounds and the travel experiences. These I consider are invaluable.

Best movie I have ever seen is?

There are so many. Goodwill Hunting, and any Denzel Washington movie for starters.
