Why you love the sport of pentathlon?
I have fun doing all of it.
When you got involved in pentathlon and why?
I took an intro fencing class in spring of 2018. It all kind of snowballed from there.
How often do you train (per week or month)?
5-6 days per week plus any additional training I can.
Of the five sports of pentathlon (fencing, swimming, equestrian, shooting and running), which do you consider your best?
Running.
What are your hobbies?
Modern Pentathlon
Do you participate in other sports?
Cross Country and Track
Are there any other athletes in your family?
My younger siblings, Melanie and George. They both play rugby and do pentathlon.
Education?
Currently in High School.
What career would you like to pursue or are you currently pursuing?
I would like to pursue a career in sports medicine.
Languages?
Still just English. Learning Esperanto.
Future goals (in sport & or work)?
I would like to make it as far into the sport as possible and keep growing as an individual.
What is the greatest challenge you have faced?
Myself.
In the moments when I doubt that I want to continue, how do I motivate myself?
I rely on the support of my coaches and family to remind me of what I’m truly capable of.
How has being an athlete benefited you (positive effects in your life that you would not have had otherwise)?
In addition to an insane metabolism, it has given me the opportunity to practice smart goal setting and I’ve made some of the most amazing friends.
